Junkkari D model for direct sowing

The D model is Junkkari’s direct seed drill. When the soil is hard and the seed needs to be placed sufficiently deep, the D model is an excellent choice. While its main use is on direct sowing and hard soils, the D coulter also performs well when sowing on cultivated fields.

D model’s special feature is that the depth of the coulters can be adjusted hydraulically for each coulter from the tractor cabin. Coulter pressure is hydraulically adjustable within the range of 60-250 kg.

Unlike other 3 and 4-meter models, the D model has a row spacing of 16.7 cm.

W model has significantly lower requirements for tractor compared to pneumatic competitors. It does not require continuously variable transmission, variable displacement hydraulics, or high continuous hydraulic output.

Ingenious coulter for direct sowing

D model’s coulter structure is excellent for direct sowing. It is a multifunctional and robust unit designed to work with strong coulter pressure required for sowing to untilled soil.

Coulter with two sharp discs cuts easily through hard soil and straw. With the support wheel placed next to the coulter, each coulter follows the contours of the soil individually, maintaining the set sowing depth very precisely. A separate tongue ensures that the seeds are placed at the bottom of the seed furrow and closing wheel follows the coulter closing the narrow seed furrow. The coulter’s frame structure is made of strong steel plate, and the bearings are high-quality SKF bearings.
